WHO?  Preschool children ages 21/2  and older

WHAT?   A quality PRESCHOOL  program with creative, age-appropriate activities designed to prepare children for  kindergarten.  Our developmental curriculum offers activities for social-emotional, cognitive, physical, and language development as well as creative expression, and incorporates much of the Core Knowledge Foundation's Preschool Sequence®.  Tuckahoe School is a non-profit organization and is non-sectarian. Tuckahoe School is licensed by the Va. Dept. of Social Services.

WHERE?   Tuckahoe School leases space in property owned by the Wintergreen Property Owner's Association.  Our modern, well-maintained building is located at 37 Stone Orchard Drive just off route 151 near Nellysford in Nelson County.

WHEN?    Monday through Friday    (Part-time options are also available:  M,W,F  for ages 4-5 and  either M, W, F or T, TH for younger children.)

               Preschool  8:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

               Day Care before and after Preschool -  beginning at 7:30 a.m.  and ending at 6:00 p.m.

               The school year runs from late August through late May.  (No summer program available.)

HOW MUCH?  Thanks to the generosity of The Donovan Foundation and other supporters, Tuckahoe School is able to offer a sliding fee scale for tuition costs.  For the 2012-2013 school year, full-time tuition (Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.) ranges from $535 - $650 per month.  Part-time tuition can be as low as $270 per month.  Tuition costs are based on the child's scheduled attendance and the family's adjusted gross income. (From the custodial parent/s most recent 1040 tax form/s.)

HOW DO I APPLY?  Applications for the 2012-2013 school year are available beginning March 1, 2012.  Prior to that date, current students and their siblings have priority for enrollment.  New students are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis as space is available.  To request enrollment information simply e-mail the school's director, Linda Roberts at tuckahoeschool@att.net or phone (434) 361-9018.
